Kolmar BNH's 'HemoHIM-G' Enters 20 Countries, Export Value Exceeds $200 Million
Since 2014, Kolmar BNH has recorded cumulative sales of over 2 trillion Korean Won in 9 years. The company is set to enter Turkey, Italy, and Belgium in the second half of the year.
[The Guru = Han Areum, Reporter] Kolmar BNH, a leading ODM (Original Development Manufacturing) company for health functional foods in South Korea, has successfully entered the markets of 20 countries with its health supplement 'HemoHIM-G.' The export value has exceeded $200 million (approximately 280 billion Korean Won).
According to Kolmar BNH on the 24th, HemoHIM-G is the global version of 'HemoHIM,' the first individually recognized health functional food in Korea aimed at improving immune function. Developed in 2006 using domestic natural materials such as Angelica gigas (root), Cnidium officinale (rhizome), and Paeonia lactiflora (root), the export product has been adjusted in terms of ingredients and composition ratios to meet the food regulations of each country.
Kolmar BNH plans to accelerate the export of HemoHIM-G to European countries such as Turkey, Italy, and Belgium in the second half of the year. The company explained that the product has been developed for easy consumption by Europeans and has already entered the UK and Germany.
In April, Kolmar BNH's research on HemoHIM-G was published in the The Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) level journal "Toxicological Research," a journal of the Korean Society of Toxicology, proving its safety.
The research results published in this journal are based on tests that comply with the international standard guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This is significant not only because it facilitates the process of obtaining safety approvals in other countries, but also because it secures intellectual property rights with reliable results.
Kolmar BNH is expanding its export business this year in response to the low growth trend in the domestic market. The company stated, "We will accelerate our efforts to penetrate the European market based on our domestic success," and added, "We are committed to promoting K-health functional foods worldwide through continuous innovation of HemoHIM."
